Bookings and Submissions

Guidelines and Procedure for submitting material to SPACE

We evaluate events based on thoughtfulness and creativity as well as appropriateness to SPACE's vision and mission. Because we receive numerous proposals, we can't always respond to everyone. Your patience and understanding is appreciated. We thank you for the time it takes to submit your work, and know that while you may not recieve an immediate reply, sometimes timely opportunities present themselves for thematic or responsive programs at a later date and having your work on file is tremendously helpful.

*If you're looking to show visual or multimedia exhibitions click here.
*If you're looking to book music, theater, dance, or other performance events click here.
*If you're looking to screen a film or video, click here.

*If you want to rent SPACE for a different activity for a private event, click here.

Before submitting your idea, please take a moment to think about SPACE's mission:
To support contemporary arts projects, champion artists, and encourage an open exchange of ideas.

We prefer to work on events that add to our community, especially events that might not otherwise get presented in Maine.

We strive to present artistic excellence and we believe that artists should be paid for their work whenever possible.

Please note that we generally like to hear / see content before presenting it at SPACE. Typically, we're booking events 8-20 weeks ahead. We occasionally book last minute events and we occasionally book months and months ahead.
