As you may have heard, local musician and photographer Joshua Loring and SPACE Gallery were awarded a grant by the Maine Arts Commission to document the underground rock scene in Portland, Maine. Monday night shows are always a bit of an experiment here in Portland, especially once winter comes around and turns our usual unpredictable weather into slightly more predictably (bad) weather. But sometimes it works out just fine - and this was one of those nights. A.A. December started off with a great All Ages show at SPACE. Nightmare Of You (pictured above, and playing what they claim to be their last shows before some sort of hiatus) and Destry (pictured below) brought their tour to Portland with support from Boston's Fly Upright Kite and locals Colors.
